Tumbleweed and Digital Technologies Announce Partnership in Japan

Companies to Feature Tumbleweed's MailGate Email Security Solutions at Networld+Interop Tokyo 2005

Redwood City, CA and Tokyo– June 6, 2005 — Digital Technologies Corporation, a leading system and network integration provider of security solutions in Japan, and Tumbleweed® Communications Corp. (NASDAQ:TMWD), a leading provider of e-mail and file transfer security solutions, today jointly announced Digital Technologies’ introduction and support of the Tumbleweed MailGate AntiSpam and MailGate Edge Appliances in Japan.

DTC will be featuring the MailGate products at the Networld+Interop show in Tokyo, June 8-10, 2005. These solutions can be viewed and evaluated at Makuhari Messe, 3E05 booth. MailGate AntiSpam Appliance is a secure, hardened Linux-based appliance, designed to remove spam and viruses from the email systems of small, medium, and large enterprises. MailGate AntiSpam intercepts spam at the gateway level, filtering out questionable email before it impacts email servers or breaches the corporate network. MailGate Edge is a unique secure email relay appliance that delivers state-of-the-art network-based email defense against “dark traffic”, including Directory Harvest (DHA) and Denial of Service (DoS) attacks. The Appliances can be used separately or in combination for complete protection against spam, viruses and dark traffic.
