SecureTransport ClientsMultiple Options for Secure Client Connections
Available in a Variety of ConfigurationsSecureTransport clients are available in thin and thick varieties to meet varying needs of diverse enhanced file transfer needs in diverse IT infrastructures. Platform-specific file transfer clients for Windows and UNIX, allow users to securely and reliably exchange data over FTP, secure FTP, or HTTP/S, whether the file transfer is ad-hoc, a scheduled batch transfer, or initiated by an application script. All file transfers ensure guaranteed delivery, data integrity, and checkpoint/restart - even through a firewall or proxy server and over unstable network connections or dial-up lines. For environments where a thick client is not practical, the SecureTransport Server to provide a zero-footprint file transfer client option for users through the use of standard web browsers to support standard HTTP and HTTPS (SSL/TLS). This presents an easy way for an organization to allow an external business partner to connect and communicate securely with no additional software required. In addition to the standard browser support, SecureTransport Server provides a Web file transfer Client for users of Microsoft Internet Explorer browser. This Web Client is a small ActiveX control that installs automatically when a user connects to SecureTransport, and ensures reliable secure file transfers with Guaranteed Delivery. SecureTransport Client is available as software on Windows, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, and Red Hat Linux platforms.
SecureTransport provides a fully functional GUI enhanced file transfer client for Windows. Users can select files and folders in a Windows Explorer-like interface, drag and drop files for FTP, FTPS (SSL/TLS), HTTP, HTTPs (SSL/TLS) transfers between the server and the local disk, set up schedules for ad-hoc or recurring transfers, and view the status of any file transfer in a transfer queue window.. It also has a built-in scheduler for easy automation. A command-line enhanced file transfer client for Windows and UNIX ( Solaris, HP-UX, AIX , RedHat Linux provides a full range of core features and can be used interactively, incorporated into scripts, or used for automated, unattended transfers using the UNIX icon scheduler. For z/OS and IBM iSeries (AS/400), the Tumbleweed SecureTransport Server supports third-party secure FTP clients available on those platforms.
