We are currently seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to Analyze, design and implement Tumbleweed's next generation products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the development manager and others to provide time estimates on task work.
• Work closely with software engineers to produce high quality object-oriented designs, complete implementation with unit tests and documentation.
• As a member of the software development team, provide development support to Customer Support, work with the technical writer to produce appropriate documentation and collaborate with the QA team to insure proper certification.
• Collaborate with teammates.

Requirements:

• Experience in software product development.
• Industry experience in Object-Oriented design and methodology, Multi-threaded programming, Java and C++/STL.
• Industry experience in distributed system development with specific experience with one or more of the following: socket level programming, distributed programming, RPC, RMI, SOAP. Industry experience on UNIX, Linux or Windows.
• Industry experience developing applications using relational databases, preferably MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server

Desired Experience:

• Experience in networking and network security technologies.
• Experience in SMTP, FTP, HTTP or SSH servers.
• Experience in robust and secure enterprise class software.
• Web technology experience: HTML, XML, SOAP, JSP.

Work Experience:

BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent with 3 - 7 years of related experience.
